Announcing Clinical Supervision & Clinical Consultation Services at Amber Caldera Therapy, LLC

What is Clinical Supervision & Clinical Consultation?

Hi! I am an approved clinical supervisor in the state of Oregon to social workers, professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists who are pursuing clinical licensure and those already licensed.

Clinical supervision is a relational process that takes place within the context of a trusted relationship between the clinical supervisor and the supervisee. It is a time for growth and to receive feedback and support in your work as a therapist/counselor. The overarching goal of good supervision is to support you in developing and authentic self that you feel confident in bringing to the work and community. In order to do this, I strive to create a safe and supportive space that is nonjudgemental and open to growth. Be yourself, in all of the messiness of being a human, and come as you are!

Clinical consultation is ongoing professional consultation/supervision after you receive your license. Consultation supports therapists continued growth when they are seeking guidance and feedback from other experienced mental health professionals on challenging cases, ethical dilemmas, or other aspects of clinical practice. Clinical consultation is an important way for you to be a responsible and accountable clinician, and they can be tailored to whatever you need at a given moment in your career. Ultimately, good clinical consultation enriches you both professionally and personally.

My Approach

My supervision style is much like my therapy style. I am relational, trauma informed, and very supportive. Additionally I am a LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician and I am committed to anti-oppressive social work practice that is all inclusive. I provide individual supervision that is tailored to each supervisee's goals and needs, and group supervision that is tailored to the group as a whole. I am very excited about this new endeavor and to be able to support fellow social workers and counselors on their professional development journey. I would be honored to join you on this journey, and if you have any questions please reach out to me!
