Psychedelic Integration- Psilocybin Therapy
I am a licensed psilocybin facilitator in the state of Oregon and am a partner with Fractal Soul PDX service center. Psychedelics can be profoundly beneficial tools to address depression, C-PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, as well as feelings of disconnection, being “stuck” and meaninglessness that affect so many people today.
Through my years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring a unique ability to support folks through a healing journey with psilocybin and provide empathetic and therapeutic sessions. I hold a safe and non-judgemental space for everyone, especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community and anyone who has felt othered.
Psychedelics have shown to be a powerful tool in trauma healing, neuroplasticity, creating meaning, and shifting patterns we feel trapped in. I am excited to be able to offer this as tool in your healing journey!
What is psilocybin?
Psilocybin is a naturally occurring psychedelic compound. It is found in over 200 species of fungi (mushrooms). For centuries Indigenous and Tribal communities around the world have used psilocybin for spiritual, ceremonial and other purposes. Psilocybin services are a legal option in Oregon. However, psilocybin is still a Schedule I substance under the Federal Controlled Substances Act.
Psilocybin Services
In Oregon, “psilocybin services” refers to preparation, administration and integration sessions provided by a licensed facilitator. The psilocybin products consumed must be cultivated or produced by a licensed psilocybin manufacturer and may only be provided to a client at a licensed psilocybin service center during an administration session. Psilocybin services are available to people age 21 or older and will not require a prescription or medical referral.
Administration
On the day of your psilocybin journey, you'll enter your carefully curated environment conducive to your comfort. You'll settle in with mindful exercises and perhaps a walk through nature. Once ready, you'll begin your journey with ingesting your psilocybin under our guidance and encouraged to relax, often wearing eye shades and listening to curated music to aid introspection. During your journey, you'll likely encounter vivid visuals, intense emotions, profound insights and a sense of connectedness. I'll provide you with support and guidance, ensuring your safety and help you navigate the experience. It's a deeply personal and potentially transformative journey into the realms of consciousness.
Benefits
Research has shown that psilocybin, when used in a therapeutic setting with trained professionals, can have significant benefits for people suffering from a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and addiction. Studies have found that psilocybin-assisted therapy can help to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, increase feelings of well-being and life satisfaction, and improve social and emotional functioning.
Psilocybin therapy is still a relatively new and developing field, and more research is needed to fully understand its potential benefits and risks. However, early results suggest that it may be a promising tool for helping people with a range of mental health challenges.
Preparation
Your preparation session for your psilocybin journey will involve building rapport with your facilitator, discussing intentions, exploring fears, and establishing a comfortable, safe setting. You'll delve into your emotions, past experiences, and expectations to set the stage for a meaningful and potentially transformative experience. It's a time of introspection, trust building, and mental readiness for the upcoming journey.
Integration
Integration sessions post psilocybin journey are about making sense of the experience. You'll meet with me to discuss insights, emotions, and visions to integrate these newfound perspectives into your daily life. These sessions often involve reflection, discussing ways to apply insights, addressing challenges, and creating actionable steps towards personal growth and healing. It's a pivotal time for processing and incorporating the journey's lessons into your ongoing life journey.
